The Printed Block offers small-group workshops in traditional Indian woodblock printing, held across a small number of carefully chosen venues in Shropshire and Mid Wales.

You’re welcome to begin as a complete beginner, with sessions designed to gently guide you through the process — from introductory workshops to more in-depth exploration of techniques.

Each workshop is thoughtfully led using hand-carved wooden blocks and textile paint, with all materials provided.

Workshops are held both independently and in collaboration with selected venues including The Hive, Welshpool and Lavender Ceramics, Caersws, Powys, and recently English Bridge Studios in Shrewsbury - with bookings managed either directly through Eventbrite or via the host venue.

Workshops are kept intentionally small to allow for a more considered, guided experience.

Private Workshops

Private workshops are also available and can be arranged at a time and setting that suits you — whether in your own home, a studio space, or a chosen venue.

These sessions can be tailored as a relaxed introduction or a more in-depth experience, depending on what you’re looking for.

Each session is calm, hands-on and thoughtfully guided, with all materials provided.
